Multitasking in Desktop Environments

The last few months there has been a big uproar about desktop environments. Gnome3 completely rethinking the desktop and Ubuntu making Unity no longer an option. My biggest problem with many of the new desktop environments is that they use the wrong definition of multitasking, or to be more precise, the wrong definition of "task".

TowerDefence.net - End Of A Chapter, While A New Dawn Begins...

It has come to our attention that the popular website TowerDefence.net is no longer active. Ezo, the site's original owner, recently sold the website to a company known as "Caputo Media", a business that owns a small collection of websites. Now it seems the company has merged the website with its other websites, hence the "TD.net" community as we knew it here at the Users' Studio Of Open Games, is gone for good.

Site upgraded to Drupal 7!

The Users' Studio Of Open Games is proud to announce that we have now upgraded the site to Drupal 7! Drupal 7 was released today and we wanted to directly benefit from the new code and changes to it, along with any performance improvements the changes would bring. As we upgraded some of the features might be missing, but they will soon be added again. We are looking forward to bringing new and exciting content to the site and above all, over the course of 2011 and beyond, making your experience that much more exciting.

HexTD: Wave Generator

This is a wave editor for HexTD, allowing you to create your own waves. It has probably not beed updated for the latest HexTD version.

You will probably want to run the output of the wave generator through a json formatter, like:

I am a signature virus, please set me as your signature to help me spread!

Onwards and upwards

Hello everyone :)

Well, I'm sorry I haven't posted a blog in months, especially since I've been busy helping to flesh out how future games will work and what will go into those games, along with some personal matters (that which I won't go into). Hopefully in future, I'll post blogs more often on this website :P

Home page panels preferences by user

The feature involves allowing each user, in his account settings page (I guess that's the best place to manage preferences, right?), to modify the preferences for the home page panels.

Latest news: In this case, there's barely anything that could be modified, because everyone should get the news of everything.

New forum threads: In this case, users could select which forums and sub-forums they'd like to see the new threads mentioned in the list, such as selecting only Creep Attack forum to only have that forum's new threads in the list.

The Cillit Bang Taste Test

  • * fredg999 copies TST by drinking from a huge saucepan :P
  • * Masamune decides to drink Cillit Bang from a huge saucepan :P
  • <fredg999> Masamune: Is that tasty?
  • * Masamune spits out the Cillit bang he just took a mouthful of! :X
  • <Masamune> Ugh, that tasted...disgusting XP

TDCore
