Gems - these are addons that apply a specific elemental property when equipped to weapons, armour and shields. If a gem is equipped to a weapon, its elemental property is used for damage calculation whenever a creep attacks while wielding the weapon. If a gem is equipped to armour or a shield, if a creep is attacked with an inferior elemental property to the elemental property of a piece of armour equipped with the gem, which the creep is equipped with, it takes half the usual damage.
